Grace - Jeff Buckley

Released : August 23, 1994

RIP Jeff for real. This is an empath’s album. He brings up fire quite a bit like it was his burning desire to wait in the fire. His songs are a mix, they are very calm and also very chaotic at the same time. Okay I'm also not listening to this in order because I’m playing this on Youtube and I lost track but it's okay but I have also already listened to this all the way through so I get the vibe being put down.

It seems like the more he sings he becomes more passionate and that's how they become more chaotic. I'm watching the live performance of Lilac Wine right now. I love this song. It's so sentimental and makes me want to drink Lilac wine.  The way he's singing in this performance is so intimate, his eyes are closed, his shirt unbuttoned, drenched in sweat, carefully strumming along, his emotions are so soft and sweet and they seem as if they are being formed as the words pour out.

His rendition of Hallelujah is very pretty as well. Alessandras said this music video has always been captivating to her because the videographer made the angles look so good. The way he sings this is perfect because the song itself sounds very sad and he's capturing that in the tone of his voice whereas other artists make this sound passionate but more faithful if that makes sense. Jeff Buckly sings it the way I imagine the song should be sung.

Lover, You Should've Come Over, oh where do we begin. I'm watching the same live performance, the one he played in Chicago. I'm a few drinks in right now so this is perfect. This song is how I imagine love to be. It's how I felt when I was in love.

ALL MY BLOOD FOR THE SWEETNESS OF HER LAUGHTER

MAYBE IM JUST TO YOUNG TO KEEP GOOD LOVE FROM GOING WRONG

WHY JEFF WHY

YOU SHOULD HAVE COME OVER

God I can’t take this fucking stupid ass song what the fuck bro like how is a man capturing this emotion. That's what I want to know. But he's an empath so it makes sense.

Also I am back on track with the correct order of the album, I was being dramatic.

Me and Ale are watching the Eternal Life music video and it was filmed exactly 31 one years ago which is kind of crazy.

Girl we are listening to Jeff Buckley while talking about what it's like to be a woman in this modern time and then my ex shows up on my computer like what do we do now? Ale says move to Switzerland but I say Amsterdam because of weed cafes. Either way I think it'd be a win.

I love this album all together, it's such a heart break album but also such a touching, sentimental tribute to loving someone. The last song Forget Her, I was wondering why it wasn't on the CD album but a friend, Alix, told me he never originally wanted this song out but after he passed it was put out. It makes me sad knowing he didn't want it out because he felt it was rude towards his ex Rebecca Moore but I also am glad I get the honor of listening to it because it happens to be one of my favorites on the album. I don't find it rude at all, I find it to be more emotional and self sabotaging. Which is how I feel most of this album is and with the live performances I watched, He's singing very personally, pouring his heart out very intentionally. I hope he knows I listen to his music with much admiration.
